Budapesten a Mormon Egyház által felvett microfilmek másolatait meg lehet találni a Magyar Országos Levéltár következö címü adattárában:

Elöre fel kell hívni, és kérni a keresett helység és egyházközség microfilmjét.
Az első feladat a keresett film azonosítása. Erre vonatkozó kutatást az internet igen megkönnyíti. Ennek hiányában telefonon kell felkeresni a fenti levéltárat, és érdeklődni milyen filmek állnak a kutató rendelkezésére.
Internetes keresés.
Az interneten az anyakönyvek tartalmának kutatása NEM lehetséges. Ezek tartalma nincs kimásolva, így az interneten csak a megfelelő microfilmek tartalmának leírását és a film számát találhatjuk meg.
Ezen túlmenően tudni kell, a magyar levéltár más számozást használ, így csak a microfilmek leírását használhatjuk fel, hogy ezek azonosításával kérjük a levéltárat a filmek megkeresésére!
Keressd meg a http://www.familysearch.org/ weblapot.
Kattints a lap közepén a jobb szélső LIBRARY gombra
Majd az alatta megjelenő Family History Library Catalog gombra.
Majd az ezalatt megjelenő Place Search gombra.
A következő fehér lapon kell beírni a keresett helység (ill egyházközség vagy anyakönyvi hivatal székhelyének) nevét (vagy annak a kezdetét) a "Place" rovatba.
Ékezetes betük használata megengedett. A kereső a beírt név minden előfordulását megkeresi még részbenit is.
(Pl "Tisza" az összes Tisza-val kezdődő helységet felsorolja)
A Part of (optional) rovatba a helység pontosabb azonosítása lehetséges (ország, megye stb. Pl "Bereg").
Viszont magyar nevek mint pl. Tiszaszederkény csak egy van a világon (sőt Magyarországon is) így a legtöbb esetben a helységnév elegendő.
Ezután meg kell nyomni a "Search" (keress) gombot és ez behozza a talált helység(ek)et.
Amennyiben több helység neve is megfelel a keresettnek, itt ki kell választani a kívántat, és erre kattintani.
Egy új lap jelenik meg mely a "Topic" rovatban részletesebb adatokat ad a keresett helyről.
Itt a megfelelő anyakönyvekre kattintva egy még részletesebb felsorolást kapunk.
A következő nagy panel részletezi a film adatait, de még mindig nem vagyunk a keresett számoknál.
A jobb felső sarokban a "View Film Notes" gombra kattintva végre megkapjuk a film(ek) részletes leírását és (a Location Film) alatti rovatban a microfilm azonosító számát.
Amerikában a Mormon Family History Centerben egy kis lapot kell kitölteni az itt talált adatokkal, a film számával együtt.
Magyarországon, a film részletes leírásával telefonon felkereshetjük a Levéltárat és megrendelhetjük a microfilmet.
Ajánlatos megkérdezni a szükséges iratokat a filmek megszemlélésére (személyi igazolvány, ajánló levél, a kuatás célját igazoló levél stb)
Amint megtaláljuk a keresett egyházi anyakönyvek adatait, feltűnő lehet, hogy a legtöbb microfilm 1895-el bazáróan áll rendelkezésre. Némelyik ki van egészítve 1906 ig. Polgári anyakönyvek melyek ezen túlmenőek, csak halálozásokat és házasságokat adnak bizonyos dátumig.
Ennek oka hogy Magyarország személyes adatok védése szempontjábol megtitlja a születési adatok közzétételét 90 évig, a házassági adatokét 60 évig a halálozásokét 30 évig. Ennél frissebb magyaroszági adatok még a mormonok USA microfilmjein sem állnak a kutató rendelkezésére

If you nave no connection the film numbers can be accessed through the Family History Centers computers (below).
The procedure is exactly the same:
Access the http://www.familysearch.org/ site
Click on the right- most yellow tag: LIBRARY
Than just below on the Family History Library Catalog button
Than just below on the Place Search button
On the new white screen in the "Place bracket enter the name of town or city for which you are searching.
In the "Part of" box you may need to enter the country in which to search.
For most Hungarian names this is unnecessary (there is only one "Somogyszentpal" in the world).
On the new screen there is the list of available microfilms.
Click on the appropriate selection (listed by country and county).
The next screen will list the available microfilms by types.
Click on the appropriate selection and you will get a description of the available records including the time span they cover.
Click on the desired volume and you get a more detailed description of the film.
FINALLY click on the View Title Details in the right upper corner, and you will get the detailed description of the film content and their access number.
NOTE that the film numbers ARE DIFFERENT in the Hungarian Leveltar catalog. HOWEVER to order a microfilm for research in Budapest, you need to have the complete description of the film volume that you want, and you can get this from this page.

IN THE USA you can use these film numbers to order the film from the Salt Lake City Center.
To request a film, you need to fill out a request.

The computer shows you the "Family Search Vandering Logo"
Press Enter twiceSelect choice F. Family History Library Catalog Enter
Select choice A. Locality Search Enter
Select A. Town or Parish Enter
Type in town name
Type in county or province
Type in country or state EnterYou arrive at the locality list.
Here you use the Function keys as indicated on the top line. The open box indicates the page that you are on, each further step use the function keys in sequence F5 - F6 - F7 - F8.
F4 takes you back to the start of the search to repeat.

You get the full display of the record (microfilm). You usualy will have to page down to see the details of the record including the film numbers.
Use Page up and Page down to navigate between records.
You can go back to any screen by using the above function screens.
Copy the film number, locality, years covered, name you are searching for; you will need these to order films - OR fill out film request slip directly from the screen.
For Film Content you need to enter:
Microfilm number is a 7 digit number (if film number is shorter than enter leading zero).
State, Country or Nation that the film covers
Type of record (Census, Births, etc)
Time Period (1850-1885)
Surname (If searching for individual family name)
Input source / Batch number (?)
Date Ordered (Todays date)
On the right hand side enter your name address etc.
BEFORE submitting your order at the desk you MUST
1. check in the storage to make sure the film in NOT in the library
2. on the list of films "on order" to obviate submitting repeat order
